4th of July in a small town

Does it get any better than celebrating the 4th in a small town like Pittsburg?  To me, I wouldn’t rather be anywhere else.  The town does a fantastic job of setting up activities for kids and adults and I love spending time with my big extended family.

Here are a few highlights from the 4th this year…..

Here is Jack in full eating mode at the hot dog contest.  I was shocked he wanted to enter..he had just watched Joey Chestnut take the title on tv  and tried to use his bun/water dipping strategy.

Here are Jack and Thomas with their cousins Lizzie (11) and Peyton (15) getting ready for the dodgeball tournament. Go Team USA!

An intense game of driveway basketball can always be found.

I love getting together with family and having simple times playing games, grilling out and laughing together.  I have to say, the 4th of July in Pittsburg is probably my families favorite times of the entire year!
