This weekend was a busy one. I have been wanting to go First Friday shopping in the West Bottom section of Kansas City for quite awhile and finally made it happen. I rolled out of bed early, got the kids to school and made the 30 minute trip downtown.
I arrived about 9:30 AM and the old buildings were already jam-packed full of ladies with the same idea. I really enjoyed it and found some great things for my house. All the places I visited were full of vintage items or homemade, one of a kind, treasures.
I went to Bella Patina, Good JuJu and Rustic Vintage Rose. There were several other stores I wanted to see, but I only had about 3 hours, so it will have to wait until next month.

Love the lettering on these home-made signs. I bought the heart sign for a project I’ve been thinking about….
Christmas Table ideas galore. I love the chalkboard stickers on the vintage jugs.
Did you ever do the profile pictures as kids? I did…loved these framed versions.
Cute little paper mache pumpkins.
This hand knit hat would keep me warm for a chiefs game! So cute!
I took home one of these chippy wood window panes for a mantle.

After a few hours of shopping, I came home, got us packed for the weekend ahead and headed out to the Varsity football game. We were leaving at 6:30 AM Saturday, to make it to the Pitt State Homecoming Parade to walk with my Dad. His election is coming up next month.

We ended up getting tickets to the Pittsburg State game after the parade.
Jack giving the players a high five before the game.
Patrick and Jack on the sideline. Go Pitt!
Although the game didn’t end in our favor, we had a great time and saw many friends and family at Homecoming.
Awesome weekend that went by to quick, as usual! Have a great week everyone!
